I don't think we need to display popular video on web site, mainly because, older videos will have more views. So these videos, even if not good, stay on front page.
I don't see popular videos on video sites like youtube, dailymotion etc..
They have popular this week, today, etc... that is useful, not just videos ordered by view count.
